The Iris Trio (Christine Carter – clarinet, Molly Carr – viola, Anna Petrova – piano) recently released a trailer video of Florian’s new work “Bird Island Suite”. The piece was commissioned by the Iris Trio and is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. The 4 movements are based on 4 poems by Canadian poet, Don McKay. This video is based on a live recording from the Iris Trio’s visit in St. John’s, NL in November 2019, enhanced with added footage by the great videographer, Nadja von Massow.
